I'm actually not sure whether this belongs in the SAAF or Other Airforces section:

The Fuerza Aérea Ecuatoriana (FAE, Ecuador Air Force) has withdrawn its Cheetah fighters, Pucara Aviation reports.

Ten Cheetah C single-seat and two Cheetah B/D2 two-seat were sourced in South Africa, the first three arrived 31 May 2011 and the type was officially taken on charge 14 February 2012.

In 2016 two replacement aircraft were obtained for aircraft that were damaged beyond economical repair.

No official ceremony at Ala 21's home base Taura has been held yet as far as we know. No immediate successor has been acquired yet either.

According to the Scramble Magazine database, the FAE operated the following Cheetahs with Escuadrón de Combate 2112 / Ala de Combate No.21 at Base Aérea Taura.

Indeed. I guess it is not impossible that some of the aircraft may find their way into one of the aggressor companies, but it is unlikely that a Cheetah will again serve as an operational aircraft in any country's air force. I have had the privilege to have flown in them a few times and got to do some flight test work on both the C and D when they were still in service with the SAAF, in what now seems a long time ago. There will always be something special about these aircraft for me.
