I long wanted to build a Rolls Royce Armoured car to complement my Airfix Handley Page 0/400 based in Palestine.

This is the Roden 1/72 kit

After an afternoon of preparing and building the main items were together

There were absolutely no problems and just the normal cleanup needed before assembly.
After another afternoon, all the parts were ready for painting.

I startet painting and as usual got so carried away that I forgot to take pictures until I had already advanced to final assembly

All the parts were first sprayed with Tamiya dark yellow, which is rather light. However, after a coat of gloss varnish and a session with burnt umber artists oil colour the base coat had darkened sufficiently to look realistic (I think).
So on to final assembly and after a rather short time (compared with my aircraft) the armoured car was ready. The only items not included were the clear lenses for the search and headlights. There I used Canopy Glue which I think is quite OK. This is one of the few models where I didn't use any filler.
