That plane is going to have it's first birthday soon and it's been through the mill.
Did you piss off your movers or are you still living in SA.
Looks better second time around, I think you were more relaxed and also had nothing to lose, good combination to have, nice! :smt023

No, I stuffed up. I would not let my movers touch my babies.

It looked bare to me, wanted to apply exhaust stains or something, so it was on the cards.
After weathering my B-26, I had developed some confidence in what to do.

I have not forgotten this thread, and it is my turn for winter.

Grumman F3F-2 by Accurate Miniatures.
The kit requires skill, and fits together very very well.
They say with this brand of kit, it is important to follow instructions, I confer after this experience.

In front of the cockpit is the fuel tank, which is visible from the wheel well.

The oil cooler and HT leads are Photo etch.

That black device on top of the wing is a camera.

The fabric covered wings are silver and the fuselage is aliminium.

It was a nice kit to work on for a change.

Great looking build Jeff, very neat and colourfull too! :smt023

A question about the wheels if you don't mind? Should they be at that angle, is that not the "unweighted" undercarriage position?

Its always cool to see something a bit different :smt023 Cheers

On the real thing, they are a bit pointed in when parked, like my starboard wheel.
I just twisted the port wheel outwards to match the starboard wheel, it did not break off, but is now a bit soft.
It looks better now.

I can pretend that I'm rebuilding this one, only you will know.

Saw the comments about how dates are written.
Few months ago My wife had to go threw US immigration, I was surprised they had it day/month/year. I guess they are trying to jive with what the rest of the world does, speak the same language.
Then there is T with some American spelling vs English spelling. Is it your spell check converting you?

As for yellow wings, I happen to have the same kit as you, I just picked it up.
Time is the issue, and the various stash members are all calling.
