I am building an ancient airfix hurri for a mate but damn these old aorfox kits are a chalange to get to fit, loads of warped parts, no logic numbering to the sprues and vague instructions. I have been wrangling it into position bib by bit, the open nose to reveal the engine was a nice idea but the fuselage is so flimsy noting lines up.

Cmon meaner T. Should be a breeze for your modelling skills. Just enjoy the blast from the past - those were great kits

Modelers of today are spoilt, I still have about 60 of those Airfix, Matchbox, Esci, Heller and Revell kits of the 80's still in my unbuilt stash, including the Airfix 1/24 Mustang plus enough parts to build half another 1/24 Mustang (the port fuselage half and port wing bits are missing, scrounged the balance from a lot of other 1/24 Mustang kits).

How come every time my ship comes in, I'm at the airport?

I built this model more than 35 years ago. The problem is likely the worn out moulds in those old kits.
There was a series of books titled: Classic aircraft and how to model them. No. 4 was about the Hurricane and is the best of the series as it contains a lot of drawings from the Hurricane technical manual. I can only recommend it. The other book if you want to super detail it is: The Hurricane II manual published by the Royal Air Force Museum.
Looking forward to the build.

The biggest issue sofar os the outer wing pannels have n dihedral and cant be fixed without major surgery. Im just buiding it as is

Got the camo on, in the pix the green looks brown but it is correct to the eye. Sti have to do an oildot filter to tie it al together.
The side decal was one arge piec and REAL PITA to put on but I think I beat it into submition.
