This is the 20 years old Eduard kit. A kit where the painting scheme plan shows more details than you will find on the model.
Even though Eduard sells this kit as both a D.V and a D.Va, you can only really build a D.V withouth massive changes to the upper wing.
Many things are not included in the kit. Windscreen, the piping from the engine to the radiator and the control shrouds for the ailerons on the upper wing are all missing.

On this model I tried out for the first time simulating varnished plywood by using artists oil colours.

It is always amazing, how dust specks are not visible to the naked eye, just on the pictures.

Yeah, I think it it the light that reflects of the dust specs.

It is actually only time consuming, as you need to do each panel separately. The main thing is not to overdo the darker streaks for the woodgrain.

That is really a wonderful result. Considering 72nd scale the detail on the wood grain and the rigging is really fantastic =D>
