A few pictures of a recently finished build of an Alouette III gunship in 1/72. Base model is the Heller kit with the Scaleworx conversion.

For those interested, you can find more pictures and build notes here: https://sway.office.com/Q4V8zlDDzS8mG6YT?ref=Link

Very nice build! =D>

Did you use the decal for the tail rotor blades?

I am also busy with a number of Alo's at the moment.
I am to build all the different paint schemes in SAAF and SAP service as well as the different variations used, eg., floatation bags, gunship (.50 and 20mm), air filters, etc.. and also getting the right sit of an Alo (file a bit of the wheel flat).

There is already at least 10 Alo's in my collection. I must be an Alo nut?

Thanks Dean and AT6C.

That's a lot Alo's AT6C! Looking forward to seeing them all. The rotor blades were masked and airbrushed. The build notes has some details on this (see the section on Rotors - https://sway.office.com/Q4V8zlDDzS8mG6YT?ref=Link )

That is stunning,

Brings back fond memories from my young days in Tsumeb. We had a Puma, Bosbok and a draadkar gunship on constant standby at Tsumeb airfield and we used to visit the pilots often. If I remember correctly they used to give us money to go to the shop on our bicycles to buy cooldrinks and snacks for them since they were on standby and couldn't leave. What a time to be alive.
