I have not been able to gain access to www.dod.mil.za as well as the official SAAF site, have the URLs changed etc, are they active?

They have been down for a long time - over a year at least. I used to periodically access them but gave up some time ago when it became clear that they weren't being maintained.

Correct. Been a number of years the passwords to the old site was lost/SITA messed up the hosting plan/choose your excuse.

However, the Navy manages to limp along and at least has a presence: http://www.navy.mil.za/Pages/Home.aspx

Unfortunately the navy site doesn't seem to work either at this time.

Odd - are you perhaps viewing a cached version? Mine just times out when attempting to view it, irrespective of browser. Maybe it's because I'm living in the arsehole of the universe? Hahaha.
