Yep. they closed doors for good. And I still wanted one of their 1/32 Lancasters.

Shock news just in.... We understand Wingnut Wings is closing down. Rumours circulating on Facebook about the coronavirus enforced shutdown of the business have now focused attention on the overall future of the company and it's now understood that Wingnuts is closing down for good.

Development of the major new projects including the 1/32 Lancasters, Fokker DR.1s and Hansa Brandenburg Starstrutter have all been cancelled. So too are the Handley Page O/100 and O/400 projects.

As yet there is no news on the future of the Wingnuts staff or the moulds which form the backbone of the WnW production since the company's launch in 2009 by its owner Sir Peter Jackson.

Ja lots of speculation as to real reason for closure. They certainly brought pre-WW 2 interset alive in the modelling world. I built only one of their kits and it was magnificent - the detail and build quality I mean (not the finished model  ). The only thing that put me off buying any more is the fiddly nature of the rigging. But for colour schemes, WW 1 aeries have a lot to offer the modeller. I actually suspect they'll be back in another form.... [-o<
