Located next to the Armscor Overberg Test Range (OTB) and de Hoop Missile Test Range, this base, known as TFDC Bredasdorp, became operational in 1987. With the reorganisation in 2004, the base was declared an Air Force Base and the Test Flight and Development Centre became a lodger unit.
