Description:

Two/three seat anti-shipping attack fighter.

Both 16 and 19 Squadrons, SAAF, operated the Beaughfighter as part of the Balkan Air Force in Italy.

Britain offered South Africa a gift of 80 surplus Beaufighter Mk X aircraft in recognition of the role played by the SAAF during the the Second World War, but the aircraft were not accepted.
