Description:

The DH-9 can claim to be one of the first true strategic purpose-built bombers manufactured in Britain, with bomb bays within the fuselage structure.

SAAF serials were 101 to 150. They remained in service until 1937 when a few were sold. Two were later repurchased at the comencement of WWII and became 2001 and 2005.

Armament:
One fixed forward-firing 0.303-in (7.7mm) Vickers machine-gun and one or two .303-in (7.7mm) Lewis guns on Scarff ring in aft cockpit, plus up to 460 lb (209 kg) of bombs.
