Description:

Two-seat advanced training.

After being built for the USAAC as an attack aircraft, 93 aircraft were returned to the factory as being unsuitable for the task. 60 were then sold to the RAF who in turn transferred all to the SAAF. With 17 being lost at sea, the remaining 43 were used by 41 and 42 Air Schools for advanced training and target-towing.

SAAF serials were from 1221 to 1268.

Armament:
Five 0.3 in (7.62 mm) machine-guns (four forward-firing and one on a trainable mount in rear cockpit), plus four 100 lb (45 kg) bombs.
