This airshow was held at the Air Force Base Overberg on 21 April 2012.

Close to the most southern tip of Africa is airspace that belongs to the South African Air Force - AFB Overberg, home to the Test Flight and Development Centre.

A favourite with many aviation enthusiasts, live ammunition is usually fired. This year, one of the highlights were Hawk lead-in fighter trainers firing its cannon at a ground target, dropping bombs and releasing flares. Two Hawks landed in formation.

ThunderCity made its return with a Buccaneer and Hawker Hunter.

The Friday evening saw two twilight displays, the Agusta A109 helicopter and the Gripen C. The A109 released flares and the Gripen showing off a bright afterburner for most of its routine.

Many other displays were flown to entertain the spectators. The C-47TP Dakota showed off its short landing, the MX-2 gave an incredible aerobatics performance and a war simulation featuring the A109, Oryx and troops.

Aerobatics displays included the Silver Falcons.
