In the middle of the town, on display in a public park right along
side the R63 (Nigel Road) that runs through Dunnottar. If you are on this road
travelling South towards Dunnottar, it is on your left side and
can't be missed.

This small light airfield was to be found 31km North East from Johannesburg
International, on the East side of the R50, very close to the R50/R25 junction.
From the R25 going Eastbound, turn right at the R50
junction and you will immediately see the airfield on your left about 1km away.
Take the next turning on the left, which is a dirt road and follow your nose.

Edenvale. Drive past Dickie Fritz Shellhole (on your left) while you're on the highway, take first off-ramp to the left. At robots turn left and then left again and left yet again (ie you're now heading towards freeway at 90 degrees). Drive past cluster townhouse developments, Dickie Fritz shellhole appears in front of you.
Ventura 6432 over to the left behind wall. Walk around wall, climb
up the tree that grows next to the wall. Better shot than being inside grounds!

This large casino is right next door to the Emperor Hotel and just 1.5km
South of the Johannesburg International Airport terminals. Road directions
are to come off at Junction 49 (M57 Griffiths Road) of the R21 road that
runs North/South just West of the airport. Turn left at the end of the slip
road and then take the next left onto Jones Road. Go North on Jones Road
(airport perimeter on right) until you reach the Emperor entrance.

A very friendly civil airfield 21km NNW of Johannesburg International.

This school is just less than 2km north of St Pierre Van Ryneveld
School. Head North on R57 Pretoria Road past Kempton Park railway station/Kempton
City shopping centre, which will be on your left. Continue North on R57 over
robot intersection with C.R Swart Road. You should now see open land with just
the railway track visible on your left. Continue North on R57 for less than
2km until you pass the Van Riebeeckpark railway station on your left and then
reach the intersection with the R45 Van Riebeeck Road which will be a
turning on your right. Turn into this road and the school can be found to your
left about 1km down.

Two inside viewing decks, one in the domestic terminal one in
the international terminal. Both are sign
posted inside the terminals and safe. Good for photographs, afternoon
(13h00) onwards very good.
Directions from the terminal to the soccer pitch:
Take the R21 motorway north from the terminals towards Pretoria. Come off at
the junction with the M45 and head towards Benoni. At the next traffic lights,
turn right for the M43 Atlas Road. At the next set of traffic lights, get into
the right hand turn filter lane and turn into Bonaero Drive and follow this.
This road takes you past the General Aviation hangars security gate. Continue
past the security gate on this road with residental housing on your left. There
is a small gate (never locked) on your right to drive into the football club
site and park on the grass by the pitch, taxiway in front of you.

pupil killed in Bosbok during border war. Visible from the road, but best photographed
from school grounds. Permission easily obtained, headmaster is an aviation nut

At Golden Highway (N1) off-ramp to Soweto (R553).
Head west on the N12 motorway heading towards Soweto, a south west suburb
of Johannesburg. The N12 meets the N1 motorway which runs north/south (Diepkloof
Interchange). Head south on the N1 heading towards Vanderbijlpark. Almost immediately,
come off at the next junction which is for the R553 Golden Highway. At the end
of the exit road, turn right at the traffic lights onto the R553. Pass back
over the N1 motorway and you will see the garage ahead off you to the left.
Can't really miss the Shackleton
from here.

South towards Vereeniging. At Junction 20 for Meyerton, turn left onto the R551 heading towards Heidelberg. Go through two stop junctions and at the third stop junction you will be at the Johan Le Rouxweg intersection. You will know you are in the right place if you see a garage on the right hand side of the road. Turn right at this intersection into Gallow Street. You should see a sign on the left side of this road for "Oude Werf". Follow this road for about 1km until you see the Frelon on display within the Oude Werf scrap metal dealer premises located on your right.
Be warned, it's not very photogenic and not in it's service colour scheme.
