Tenders awarded during April 2011

Armscor, the State arms procurement agency, issued a number of tenders and contracts relating to the SAAF during April 2011.
These included the following:
A Request for Quotation was issued to South African Airways Technical (Pty) Ltd and Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd on 4 April for the provisioning of product support services for the Presidential Boeing Business Jet.
ILC Lerumo (Pty) Ltd were issued a Request for Quotation for product support supply on the aircrew training system of the South African Air Force on 4 April.
5 April saw a Request for Quotation for the support for the AgustaWestland A109 light utility helicopter from the OEM being issued to Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Denel Aviation, Steradian Consulting (Pty) Ltd and Agusta Westland of Italy.
An extension of the contract for on demand support services for the Gripen fighter aircraft engines valued at R1 422 285,00 was awarded to Volvo Aero Corporation of Sweden on 13 April.
Turbomeca Africa (Pty) Ltd was awarded a R4 000 000,00 extension to their contract on 13 April for on demand support of the Arrius 2K2 engine for the the A109 light utility helicopter.
On the same date, Agusta S.p.A. of Italy were awarded a R10 000 000,00 extension to their contract for on demand support for the A109 Light Utility Helicopter system.
A Request for Quotation for 30mm Aden ammunition was issued to Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a PMP, on 20 April.
On the same date, Rheinmetall Denel Munitions (Pty) Ltd were requested to quote for the procurement of reworked SA771/772 aircraft bomb fuze systems.
A R1 413 664,77 extension to a contract for Presidential Boeing Business Jet product support services was awarded to Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd on 21 April.
Rheinmetall Denel Munitions (Pty) Ltd were requested to quote for depot rework of 12,5kg aircraft bomb systems on 28 April.
