Tenders awarded during February 2011

Armscor, the State arms procurement agency, issued a number of tenders and contracts relating to the SAAF during February 2011.
These included the following:
A R2 543 860,00 extension to a contract for maintenance and support services of self protection systems for the Oryx helicopter and C-130 aircraft was awarded to SAAB Grintek Defence (Pty) Ltd, t/a Saab Avitronics, on 3 February.
On the same date, Tellumat (Pty) Ltd, t/a Tellumat Defence, was awarded a R350 877,00 extension to their contract for maintenance and support services of the airfield radar approach systems for the SA Air Force.
CSIR, t/a DPSS, were awarded a R66 314,03 extension on 3 February to assist the Gripen team with on-demand technical support
A R1 666 667,00 extension of the contract for maintenance and support services of the Oryx communication jammer, communication intelligence system and Dakota communication intelligence system for the SAAF was awarded to Grintek Ewation (Pty) Ltd on 10 February.
Carl Zeiss Optronics (Pty) Ltd was awarded a R1 500 000,00 extension to their contract on 17 February for an airborne tactical reconnaissance capability.
