Tenders awarded during January 2011

Armscor, the State arms procurement agency, issued a number of tenders and contracts relating to the SAAF during January 2011.
These included the following:
Gripen International KB of Sweden was awarded a R123 818,00 extension to their contract on 20 January for interim product support services for the Gripen aircraft.
On 24 January, a number of companies were requested to quote for staff support for the procurement of the A-Darter air-to-air missile system.
A Request for Quotation for consultation services for the identification and correction of problems with the data communication between Gripen aircraft was issued to the CSIR, trading as DPSS and Deloitte and Touche Management Solutions on 26 January.
A R197 102,00 extension to a contract for repair, service and modification of ground support equipment for the Gripen aircraft was awarded to Tetech Projects (Pty) Ltd on 27 January.
