Appointments and promotions of SAAF officers

The Department of Defence has anonunced the following appointments and promotions of SAAF officers with effect from 1 January 2011 (or as indicated next to their names or with effect from the first day of the month following the dates the officers reported to their new post, which ever date is the latest):

• Lt Col A.H. Kitley appointed as OC AFB DBN and temporary promoted to the rank Col with effect from 1 December 2010 and substantive promotion to the rank of Col with effect from 1 January 2011.
• Lt Col S. Vaaiboom appointed as OC 3 ASU and promoted to the substantive rank of Col with effect from 1 December 2010.
• Col D.J. Blom appointed as SSO SU'S & CEN at Air Comd with effect from 1 December 2010.
• Col J.J. Oschman appointed as SSO C & C Prod Sys at Air Comd.
• Col H.M. Brink appointed as Tech Off at AFCP .
• Col N.W. Napier appointed as SSO EW at Air Comd.
• Col J.C. Butler appointed as SSO CBT Sys at Air Comd.
• Col P.E. Venter appointed as OC LASS with effect from 1 July 2011.
• Lt Col K.P. Madimabe appointed as Prov Admin Off at AFB Makhadu and promoted to the substantive rank of Col with effect from 1 April 2011.
• Col C.F. Du Preez appointed as SSO Insp Duties wef effect from 1 April 2011.
• Col I.J. van Vuuren appointed as SSO Air CBT.
• Col J.E. Crous appointed as OC AF MDW with effect from 1 July 2011
• Col A.M. Jacobs appointed as SSO Ops Supp  with effect from 1 July 2011.
• M.N. Sakwe appointed as OC RD AOT 46.
• Col J.W. Kirsten appointed as SSO OSIS Mngmnt at Air Comd.
• Col A.C. Nel appointed as SSO Maint Capab at Air Comd.
• Col C.M. Make appointed as OC 1 ASU.
• Lt Col S.G. Lombard appointed as SSO Int Sys at Air Comd and promoted to the substantive rank of Col with effect from 1 December 2010.
• Col S. Mogale appointed as SSO CI/INT Policies with effect from 01 December 2010.
• Col N.D. Khumalo appointed as Dir FR at Air Comd.
• Col N.A.E. Motaung appointed as SSO Tech Policy with effect from 1 April 2011.
• Col L. Ramchuran appointed as OC 5 ASU.
• Col M.N. Kalipa appointed as SSO Supp Proces Integ at Air Comd with effect from 1 December 2010.
• Lt Col K. Moonsamy appointed as OC AF Gym and promoted to the substantive rank of Col.
• Col T.P. Sehlare appointed as SSO Log Dev at Air Comd.
• Col E.J. Schoeman appointed as Tels Off at Air Comd.
• Col N. Dube appointed as OC 60 SQN and utilised at 21 SQN.
• Lt Col M.I. Buthelezi appointed and promoted to the substantive rank of Col on condition of successful completion of JSCSP as Ops Plan Complex at AFCP with effect from 1 December 2010.
• Col H.F. Anderson appointed as SSO Bus Plan.
• Col M.D. Kgwete appointed as D SAAF Liaison Off at Air Comd with effect from 1 September 2011.
• Col X. Tshofela appointed as SSO Strat Plan.
• Col J.J. Huysamen appointed as SSO LT Plan .
• Col R.A. Zeelie is appointed as SSO Eng at 5 ASU.
