Which bases are closing?

I can now reveal which airforce base is due to close which I first alluded to on 17 April this year!
AFB Ysterplaat may cease to be a AFB from early 2001. It is still to be decided whether keep it open as a civil airport for light aircraft or to develop it into a housing estate! Nevertheless, plans are in hand to hand over the running of the Museum located on the base to a private non-profit organisation.
Another base rumoured to be closed is AFB Durban. One more base is also to have it fate decided soon.
