Tenders awarded during June 2010

Armscor, the State arms procurement agency, issued a number of tenders and contracts relating to the SAAF during June 2010.
These included the following:
Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd was awarded a R1 254 386 extension to their contract for product support services for Beechcraft aircraft on 3 June.
On the same date, Reutech Solutions (Pty) Ltd, t/a RDL, was awarded an extension to their contract for Pilatus Astra aircraft product valued at R9 985 000.
Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Denel Aviation, were also awarded a R9 649 123 extension to their contract for product support for Hawk components and ground support and test equipment.
The final extension to a contract awarded on 3 June was to Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Denel Dynamics, for calibration of Hawk aircraft inertial measurement and global positioning system valued at R2 368 421.
On 9 June, a Request for Quotation was issued to Turbomeca Africa (Pty) Ltd for the upgrade and overhaul of Makila 1A1 engines as part of the Oryx life extension program.
As part of the A-Darter IR AAM development program, Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Denel Aerospace Group, were awarded an extension to their contract for the preparation of A-Darter client furnished equipment data and hardware items for aircraft integration. The contract, awarded on 17 June, is valued at R1 987 302,75.
BAE Systems (Operations) Ltd of the UK was awarded an extension to their contract on 17 June for interim product support for the SAAF's fighter aircraft valued at R9 657 067,26.
Gripen International KB of Sweden were also awarded a R6 378 793,80 extension to their contract for on demand support services for the Gripen aircraft on 17 June.
A Request for Quotation was issued to Grintek Ewation (Pty) Ltd on 18 June for maintenance of the Oryx communication jammer, communication intelligence system and Dakota communication intelligence system for the SAAF.
On 23 June, a R4 659 160,94 extension to the contract for low-cost stand-off weapon systems technology was awarded to Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Denel Dynamics.
A R1 450 909 extension to the contract for product support services for Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft was awarded to Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd on 23 June.
