Tenders awarded during May 2010

Armscor issued a number of tenders and contracts relating to the SAAF during March 2010.
These included the following:
On 6 May, Rheinmetall Denel Munitions (Pty) Ltd was awarded a R235 998,10 extension to their contract for the procurement of aircraft bomb systems.
A request for quotation was issued to Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Denel Dynamics on 12 May for the upgrading, maintenance and retention of the Skua high speed target drone capability.
Rheinmetall Denel Munitions (Pty) Ltd were also requested on 24 May to provide a quote for procurement of reworked SA771/772 aircraft bomb fuze systems and reworked 12,5 kg aircraft bomb systems.
A number of extensions to contracts for product support were awarded on 20 May:
- Tellumat (Pty) Ltd, t/a Tellumat Defence for limited product supply support for the mobile Azimuth Range and 3-dimensional radar systems of the SAAF to the value of R350 877
- Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd for product support services for the Falcon 900 & 50 series aircraft valued at R2 000 000
