Tenders awarded during April 2010

Armscor issued a number of tenders and contracts relating to the SAAF during March 2010.
These included the following:
A number of extensions to contracts for product support were awarded on 14 April:
•· Aerosud Engineering (Pty) Ltd - Dakota C47-TP aircraft system to the value of R6 260 048,00.
•· BAE Systems (Operations) Ltd Warton Aerodrome - Hawk fighter aircraft to the value of R8 999 062,13.
•· Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd - Falcon aircraft to the value of R3 070 175,00.
•· Execujet Aircraft Sales (Pty) Ltd - Cessna 208Caravan to the value of R2 631 579,00.
•· Turbomeca Africa (Pty) Ltd - 2K2 engine for A109 LUH to the value of R2 584 748,34.
•· Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd - Beechraft aircraft to the value of R1 754 386,00.
On 22 April, Gripen International KB of Sweden was awarded a R4 501 582,53 extension to their contract for On demand support services for the Gripen aircraft.
Also on 22 April, Diehl BGT Defence GmbH & Co. KG of Germany was awarded a R601 192,50 extension to their contract for procurement of an interim short range air-to-air missile. This is presumably in connection with the IRIS-T missile.
The same date saw Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd being awarded an R4 385 225,00 extension to their contract for Presidential Boeing Business Jet product support services.
