Tenders awarded during March 2010

Armscor issued a number of tenders and contracts relating to the SAAF during March 2010.
These included the following:
A quotation request was issued to Gripen International KB on 2 March 2010 for interim product support services for the SA Air Force''s Gripen aircraft.
Agusta S.p.A was awarded an extension to their contract for on demand support for the aircraft 109 light utility helicopter on 4 March to the value of R7 000 000
On 10 March, SAAB Grintek Defence (Pty) Ltd, t/a SAAB Systems SA, were awarded a R781 258 extension to their contract for the maintenance and support of the radio switch network communication system of the SAAF.
Also on 10 March, an extension to the contract for the product support services for the Hercules C130 aircraft was awarded to Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Denel Aviation. The value was R39 377 194.
On 17 March 2010, Carl Zeiss Optronics (Pty) Ltd was awarded a R904 351 extension to their contract for an Airborne tactical reconnaissance capability.
On the same date, Advanced Technologies & Engineering (Pty) Ltd was awarded an extension to their contract for the repair/overhaul of components for the SAAF's Hawk aircraft valued at R688 960 and Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd were awarded an extension to the contract for product support services for the Beechcraft aircraft valued at R370 000.
Sysdel CC was awarded an extension to their contract for limited product supply support of the open loop tracker, Dakota Elint, ESM/Elint and Oryx Radar standoff jammer systems for the SAAF, valued at R4 000 000, on 17 March.
A quotation Request was issued on 18 March for the procurement of Elno 500 helmets and components for the SAAF.
Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Denel Dynamics, was awarded an extension to their contract for Infrared staring array detector technology on 25 March. The extension was valued at R78 000.
