Tenders awarded during June 2009

Armscor issued a number of tenders relating to the SAAF during June 2009.

These included the following:

Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Denel Dynamics, was granted an extension to their contract for the development of the A-Darter air-to-air- missile on 4 June. The extension was valued at R11 564 521.03.

Also on 4 June, a R548 070,00 extension to an existing contract for product support services for the CASA 212 and 235 aircraft was awarded to Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd.

However, a Request for Quotation was issued on 11 June for therovision of product support services the CASA 212 and 235 aircraft.

12 June saw the extension of the contract awarded to Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Aerospace Group Aviation, for the deployment of SAAF VIP aircraft. The extension was valued at R8 132 747.03.

Another extension to a contract awarded that day was for the on demand support of the Arrius 2K2 engine for the Agusta 109 light utility helicopter. The R2 700 000.00 extension was awarded to Turbomeca Africa (Pty) Ltd.

A R786 000,00 extension to an existing contract was awarded to Carl Zeiss Optronics (Pty) Ltd on 18 June for the airborne tactical reconnaissance capability on the Cessna C208 aircraft.

Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd was awarded a R897 474.78 extension to their contract for product support services for the Beechraft aircraft on 18 June.

23 June saw a Request for Quotation issued to Aviation Solutions for the procurement of aerial towed targets test and ground support equipment.

25 June saw the extension of the interim product support for the SAAF's Hawk aircraft awarded to BAE Systems (Operations) Ltd, valued at R9 000 000.00.

Sofema of France was awarded a R595 913.20 extension to their contract for the procurement of Elno 500 helmets and spares on 25 June.
