Tenders awarded during April 2009

Armscor issued a number of tenders relating to the SAAF during April 2009.
These include the following:
An extension to an existing contract for the shipment, custom clearance and payment of VAT for Gripen aircraft to the value of R1 753 090 685.51 was awarded to Armscor Business (Pty) Ltd t/a AB Logistics on 8 April 2009. The original contract, valued at R1 528 852 074.31, was awarded to AB Logistics on 19 April 2007 for the shipment, custom clearance and payment of VAT for Gripen Aircraft, training systems and support equipment.
1 April saw a request for quotation issed for ejection seat spares for the Hawk aircraft.
Eurocopter SA (Pty) Ltd was awarded a R7 894 737,00 on 8 April extension to their contract for product support for the BK117 helicopter fleet.
On the same day, Denel (Pty) Ltd t/a Denel Aviation were awarded an extension to their contract for product support for the Oryx helicopter fleet. The extension was valued at R9 971 516.43.
