Two more ex-SAAF Mirage F1s delivered to GabonDate: 29 November 2007
Gabon received two more ex-South African Air Force (SAAF) Mirage F1AZs recently when they were flown from AFB Hoedspruit in South Africa to Libreville, Gabon, accompanied by a Paramount Group Gulfstream IISP.
They made a stop at Windhoek, Namibia, where these photos were taken on 29 November 2007. The aircraft then departed for Libreville, via Luanda, Angola. The serial numbers were TR-KMN (ex-SAAF 236) and TR-KMO (ex-SAAF 244).
The Paramount Group and Aerosud had purchased eighteen ex-SAAF Mirage F1AZs with spares in 2006, of which eight are believed to have been sold to Gabon. The first two aircraft (TR-KML, ex-SAAF 239 and TR-KMM, ex-SAAF 241) arrived in Gabon in August 2006.
