Oryx crashes in Free State

An Oryx helicopter carrying 14 police officers has crashed between Weppener and Zastron with 14 SAPS, 2 SANDF and 3 crew. One SAPS died and 8 are critical, but the SAAF crew are okay. An Agusta A109 from Bloemspruit was dispatched for rescue and medivac. Accident happened at 11h40.
The helicopter was busy with patrols along the Lesotho border.
The injured were being taken to Bloemfontein's Pelonomi Hospital.
