Langebaanweg Fly-In
Date: 4 March 2002
The Langebaanweg Fly In was held over the weekend of 4/5 March 2002. It was aimed at the local private pilots to let them fly their aircraft into the Base. Although attended by a small crown, there were many aircraft on display, ranging from micro-lights to a supersonic Lightning. The SAAF participated with a C-47TP dropping parachutists, an Oryx and the Silver Flacons flying four Astras. The SAAF static display included a static Astra, a Harvard and a Cessna 185. The show was enjoyed tremendously by all who attended and the Langebaanweg organisers are to be commended for their effort and support. Thanks guys!
