Latest on HeliBase Super Frelons

Further to the news item of 12 October 2005, ex-SAAF Super Frelons 302 and 312 are now confirmed as the examples at HeliBase in Cape Town, awaiting restoration.
In addition to the two ex-SAAF Super Felons, HeliBase has also acquired civil SA321 JA Super Frelon ZS-HTN (c/n 169), which previously served as a VIP transport in the Zaire Air Force (9T-SPF). The aircraft had been stored at Lanseria for quite some time before being acquired by HeliBase and restored.
