Update on new rank insignia

More information on the delayed implementation of the new SANDF insignia and the new SANDF medals can now be released. The new rank insignia will be paraded at a SANDF parade in Pretoria on 2 September 2002.
The SANDF will then officially wear the new rank from 3 September 2002. The new medals will be awarded from 27 April 2003.
