I've flown in two of the three. :D

Wish I could attend, the SAAF Museum always puts on a great show.

Aviation Central is reporting that Ivan Pentz will be displaying Cheetah C 370.

Looks like validation was flown today...

Good show, great flying but a smaller show than previous years. unfortunately the lighting was very bad.

Highlights:
-Cheetah C
-Allouette display's
-Museum Bosbok, Kudu, Cessna Formo.
- 17 Sqn had a static display and performed a short flying display.
-Overall the show was managed well.
-Enjoyed the vocal crowds, especially during the Silver Falcon Display.

Other things:
-Not sure what happened with Gripen/ Silver Falcon Display?
-When the Hawk landed after the first display it looked like the drag chute didn't deploy?
go around was initiated, second landing was a non event.

Photo's to follow.

Concur with MARS

Special to see Cheetah C again at Swartkop (or any airshow for that matter??) for the first time in many, many years

Blokkies Joubert polished as ever in Gripen

Glen Warden much more aggressive with the Vampire than we've gotten used to with Rama Aya (spelling??) displaying the same

Lekker show all round, pity about Gripen/Silver F display

No pics from me though- only took cell phone and only took one picture of my laaitie and me setting up, ready and waiting at 07:30am at Northern end of runway (far from the maddening crowds and all that)...

Enjoyed the show. Plane Crazy, we were there next to you at that spot. Only arrived 11h00.

Cheetah C is still the bomb. Love that aerie. And I reckon the pilots have big brass ones to land that thing at that speed. What I also enjoyed was seeing the turning performance of the Gripen vs. the Cheetah. Cheetah = long slashing passes, Gripen = tight turns. Hawk was also nice. Impala very pretty.

So, when the clouds finally decided to disappear, they packed the series away ! Seems to be a Swartkop May weather problem
