During a discussion on an Air Force group, I noticed that on this site, Mirage F1 AZ 221 was noted as damaged and later joined to Mirage F1 CZ 206. As far as I can recall, #221 was damaged when Rickus de Beer did a forced landing, but it was repaired and returned to service. In 1992 # 221 had a bird ingestion and was lost when the pilot ejected.
My team designed a repair scheme to join the aft section of 206 to the fwd section of 205. This was long before 1992. #221 was not part of this repair.

Many thanks, attrition summaries corrected!

Not sure how the incorrect info appeared for 221, but appreciate the heads up.

It is not easy to keep track (especially after the fact) of all these events and happenings! I hope somebody involved with #221 repair would add to this?
