The Aviation Shop in Randpark Ridge, Randburg (http://www.theaviationshop.co.za) should sell airliners suitable for placing on a desk.

There used to be another shop in the "Mississippi Steamer" shopping center in Benoni (is it Lakeside??). They had some stunning models when I was there in 2011. It's on the left side just before the escalator to the restaurants.

I take it you are talking about airliners?
How about building your own, then you can say "I built that", in 1/144 & 1/200 scale.
