Correct. the Cheetah C was fitted with the Martin-Baker JM6 ejection seat.

See http://www.saairforce.co.za/the-airforc ... /cheetah-c

ok... new problem...

spotty currently has THIS seat in it. is this the wrong seat for the aircraft then? or was it an exception?

Image

also, what seat is this (right or wrong)?

then:

the cheetah c simulator at swartkop has THIS seat in it. again... that is defenately a MB Mk10, but why?

The seat in your "Spotty" pic, is the Mk6, it just doesn't have the parachute pack/assembly, compared to the pic I posted from 2007.

Danie, the simulator you are referring to, is for the Cheetah B's. If my memory serves me correct, it even has a dummy serial number in yellow #863 behind the cockpit, in sequence with the Cheetah B serial numbers.

Nice work so far :smt023

Cheers,
John

'863' is known as the Cheetah Operational Flight Trainer, representing the front cockpit of the 'dual seat aircraft' operated by 89 Combat FS.

It is not a Cheetah C simulator  The 'C'-sim at AFB LT is a 'dome' sim.
