Hint hint Kremlin...

The D's are amazing though!

its a bit of wishfull thinking by a phillipene air force enthusiast, hoping that the philipene air force would put in an counter offer on our cheetahs that went to ecuador...

They are all generally referred to as Cheetah D's ... however within SAAF circles they were more strictly referred to as B, D, and D2, based on the original Mirage III airframe used in the conversion.

Cheetah B = 5 x ex-Israeli Nesher B (was in essence a Mirage 5B, so accordingly named Nesher-B)
Cheetah D = 3 x Mirage III DZ
Cheetah D2 = 8 x Mirage IIID2Z

ok, so i got a thing for numbers...

does anyone have a complete list of all cheetahs build, with serial numbers, and the airframes and serial numbers of the aircraft that were used to build them from?

and umm... maybe a pic of the B?
