Anybody have pics of 6840 in the maritime cammo with the Castle & Eagle roundel ... [-o< :D

All my pics are from 2003 onwards, & by then the roundel was painted over, prior to her being re-sprayed in the all grey scheme.

Some progress on 6840 in the maritime scheme, as seen at AFB Ysterplaat in 2004.

Hi Kremlin,

I was an aircraft electrician in the SAAF. I was involved in bringing ZS-MRR and ZS-MRS up to the same standard as the rest of the fleet (If memory serves they were the first conversions). This was somewhere in '92/'93. Then 6855 from a shell to completion and finally 6882 the 1st maritime dak. But I left before that one was completed.

That was/is the Defence Forces biggest issue regarding technical training. Provide excellent training, turn out really good tech's who get offered better pay in civvy street and another good the lost!

Unfotunately not, we were not really allow to take any and my mindset at that time was not what it is now, regret always comes too late.
