I'm busy fixing the Buccaneers ... they were done a long time ago & need lots of fixing.

Also just noticed, that on the delivery flight from the UK, no aircraft carried the refueling probe.

Buccaneer S.Mk50 #417, c/n B3-02-64 / SA7 - 26, No. 24 Squadron, delivery flight from the UK, 1965.

Still lots to correct here, but no matter how ugly I draw her, she's a BEAUTY !!!

... mooi bly maar mooi ... :smt007

I like the RIGHT HAND view :!:

AND the longer slipper tanks!

Neither did the aircraft at that stage have the internal fuel tank in the bomb bay.

Only saw now, the aerials on the upper fuselage need correcting.

The aerials on the tailfin were not fitted yet at that stage, refer to the photograph of 417.

That was quick, must be raining.
As I read the second, third & forth post, I would go back up to the profile, wondering what the hell AT6C was talking about.
Where was that picture taken, Uk or SA?

The pic was taken on Sal Island in the Cape Verdes, during the delivery flight from the UK. 417 was one of eight Buccaneers on this delivery flight. After leaving the Cape Verdes, enroute to Ascension Island, she experienced a double flame-out, entered a spin & the crew were forced to eject. So she has the dubious honour of not making it to SA, & being the first 24 sqdn buccaneer not to make it back to base.

Buccaneer 417 never made it to SA,was lost at sea on way here.

The photo was possibly taken at the island called Sal a Portuguese base.

No one find the other minor detail yet?

Compare the spine of the aircraft in the photo and the spine of the aircraft in the profile, you will see on the aircraft the lighter shaded areas are not equally apart as depicted in the profile drawing.

The real 417 has the "spots" differently spaced, two close to each other, then one by itself, the profile pic depicts these as been equi-distant apart.

Now about those consultant fees.....hahaha

Ooops,another one,seriously though....

On delivery the Buccaneers had strakes on the bomb bay door, these can be seen in the photograph, just behind the mainwheels situated on the bomb bay are 2 strakes, look carefully at the rear of the bomb bay and you will see them.
