Looks like an ore/bulk carrier.

Quote:
There's only minimal information to be had on this one at the moment but it appears that the Panamanian registered bulk carrier, Panos Earth, has been disabled (probably due to engine failure) and is adrift in the South Atlantic. The ship was last reported in position 37º 59'S; 16º 33'E, which puts her some 250 nautical miles south-south-west of Capetown. Other than the fact that the vessel was on passage from a port in the Caribbean there is little to add at present.

I don’t know how I nearly missed the RAPTOR coming into False Bay today. She is now bright RED/Burnt Orange!! This colour change is very recent!

See also thread where the Raptor(Registered Zanzibar) but in old colour scheme recently brought the barges into the harbour.

Well there was tug in dry-dock so maybe it was repainted.

Can see the previous names beneath the current Raptor.

Rock Fish (1982 - 1994)
Pentow Salvor (1994 - 2012)

It isn't the painting that takes time - it's getting ready for it that's time consuming.

Sure this one's going to Nigeria? Looks quite a bit different to the previous one's for Nigeria.

She carried the name of the port on the stern of the ship. Kremlin had a good pic at Navy Day...I just need to look it up with all those Navy Day pics!!!

Yep Port = Basseterre. But hey...that's not Nigeria is it???

Perhaps our "wannabe" Coast Guard could do with a few of these Nigerian boats?
