Can anyone please tell me if Ashley Crooks and Warren Morris are still in?

Names sound familiar - were they part of the 3 series documentary made some time ago?

Yes, have also seen pictures of Morris in some internet photos on the skids of a SAPS chopper. I was watching the series again last night and it's been at least 15 years since that was filmed and was wondering if they are still active or have moved on?

Nice , down to earth guys - from what I could see. My guess is they started / joined private security companies ? But I'll ask around a bit.

They have more than likely gone to middle east,Afgan or next door, more money, less BS. Loads of the chaps I worked with in the SAPolice are over there earning ++++$$$$$$

The Police Force is no longer what it used to be, its naai jou maatjie etc, or you too pale to be promoted but are expected to "assist" the newly promoted to do that job.

When I joined in 1983 a W/O was a rare beast and officers even rarer our DC for the District Umkomaas to Port Edward then Coast to Harding up to High Flats was a Lt-Col. A Lt-Col is now two a penny. My last shift in 2001 consisted of30 members broken down 26 W/O; 3 Sgts and one Const and the Station Commander was a Brigadier, which pre 1994 was a Captains post. The pyramid is totally the wrong way around.

The SAPolice had large faults and was not perfect, but compared to this circus well .....

Sad to hear, although not at all unexpected. Kudos to them for being amongst the "best of the best", hope that they're doing well in whatever field that they're involved in now.
