A lot of Zimbabweans love Robert and think the land reform was long overdue

Look what happened in South Africa. Lots of people, mostly the white minority, were "brainwashed" by the likes of P.W., Pik, etc. and those before them into believing that the National Party and apartheid rule was the right way to go. Is something similar not happening in Zim?
Not long after democracy the National Party was no more. Robert lost the last election to Morgan but still hang onto power. Will history repeat itself when Robert is gone one day?

RDP houses are for South African citizens and not for Foreigners. They are also not sold. Alex residents should protest but not burn people.

Sanctions affect innocent people not people they are intended for. Think Cuba , North Korea , Zimbabwe , Iran

I read on news24 that they can sell their homes after 8 years, to who ever they want. That is how foreigners end up with former RDP houses. If that is true, then I don't see why forigners can't by these homes, as I'm not aware of any law that restrict the purchase of property in SA by foreigners.

Does this mean that you also believe that the sanctions imposed against the previous apartheid government in S.A. was also wrong?

The Gaddafi they DONT tell us about

Quote:
1. There is no electricity bill in Libya; electricity is free for all its citizens.
2. There is no interest on loans, banks in Libya are state-owned and loans given to all its citizens at 0% interest by law.
3. Home considered a human right in Libya – Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a home. Gaddafi’s father has died while him, his wife and his mother are still living in a tent.
4. All newlyweds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinar (US$50,000) by the government to buy their first apartment so to help start up the family.
5. Education and medical treatments are free in Libya. Before Gaddafi only 25% of Libyans are literate. Today the figure is 83%.
6. Should Libyans want to take up farming career, they would receive farming land, a farming house, equipments, seeds and livestock to kick-start their farms – all for free.
7. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they need in Libya, the government funds them to go abroad for it – not only free but they get US$2,300/mth accommodation and car allowance.
8. In Libyan, if a Libyan buys a car, the government subsidized 50% of the price.
9. The price of petrol in Libya is $0.14 per liter.
10. Libya has no external debt and its reserves amount to $150 billion – now frozen globally.
11. If a Libyan is unable to get employment after graduation the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed until employment is found.
12. A portion of Libyan oil sale is, credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens.
13. A mother who gave birth to a child receive US$5,000
14. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs $ 0.15
15. 25% of Libyans have a university degree
16. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great Man-Made River project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country.

1. There is no electricity bill in Libya; electricity is free for all its citizens.
Other oil rich lands do the same

2. There is no interest on loans, banks in Libya are state-owned and loans given to all its citizens at 0% interest by law.
This is due to the country being Muslim, it is against the Muslim faith to charge interest.

3. Home considered a human right in Libya – Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a home. Gaddafi’s father has died while him, his wife and his mother are still living in a tent.
This is nothing extorinary have a look at the Human Rights Act for the EU

4. All newlyweds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinar (US$50,000) by the government to buy their first apartment so to help start up the family.

5. Education and medical treatments are free in Libya. Before Gaddafi only 25% of Libyans are literate. Today the figure is 83%.
All Education up to University is free in the UK and all medical for adults and children is free. Exception being dental a very small fee is charged priscriptions a smal charge is also levied £7.90 or so. If you earn less the £13,000 all is free

The Libiyan students I have come across here are not very good in general due to the Libiyan education system not the person, and then most did not want to go back to "Gadaffi's Paradise"

8. In Libyan, if a Libyan buys a car, the government subsidized 50% of the price.

9. The price of petrol in Libya is $0.14 per liter.
This is the norm for most crude oil producing lands, have a look at the middel east.

10. Libya has no external debt and its reserves amount to $150 billion – now frozen globally.

11. If a Libyan is unable to get employment after graduation the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed until employment is found.
In the UK unemployed get a wide range of Benefits and the range available is to vast to explain all.
Job Seekers Allowance
Housing Benefit, every child has to be housed by law.
Council Tax Benefit

12. A portion of Libyan oil sale is, credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens.

13. A mother who gave birth to a child receive US$5,000
The UK gves every child £12.50 aweek until 16 and can be extented to age 20, eldest child gets £18.00 a week. Eveyone gets this poor to rich. So every child gets roughly £11,000. There are many other Benefits for kids available.

14. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs $ 0.15

15. 25% of Libyans have a university degree

16. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great Man-Made River project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country.

What about the thousands of people he has executed for one the prisoner massacre were between one and two thousand were shot.
The list is endless.

The supplying of arms to terrorist groups all easy to prove, he even acknowledged these shipments ie IRA

I can stand outside and shout Cameron is whatever, the Pope is this or that etc, try that in Gaddaffi's day in Libya saying he was a this or that. Or even closer to home say Mugabe is and the law will have you for bringing the Office of the President into whatever.

Hitler also gave the German people alot of Benefits etc but at a price, if you did not toe the line either the SD or Gestapo (Secret State Police) would pay you a visit and off to the K-Laager with you.

If Gaddafi did all of these wonderful things then why was he taken out by his own people?
Or is Britain (and USA) also to blame for this as they are to blame for the famine in Zimbabwe?
