I bought this one many moons ago - it's the Italeri boxing of the Kinetic Mirage 2000D. I'm a big fan of the French deltas and the D is particularly pretty. I built this over 5 years on and off. I managed to get a good wing to fuselage fit through a lot of trimming and test fitting. Seats are resin aftermarket ones - can't remember from which company. The exhaust is from Aires - it's a beaut. Colours are traditional French semi-gloss grey/green. Photos of these machines show very little weathering. The tips of the wing tanks do always seem to be weathered to the base metal. I varied the paint scheme between the two tanks to add some interest - I have seen pics of Ds with tanks like this :

I highlighted the panel lines using dark grey on the grey and light grey on the green. It's not 100% accurate but a bit of "artistic" licence...Decals were from the kit and I can happily say they went on beautifully :

Checkout the nice corrugations inside that resin exhaust :

I used a typical stores load out of 2 x tanks, 2 x Matra Magic missiles, 2 x LGBs and a laser targeting pod - this was typical of the weapons loads used over the Balkans :

Yup, had it in my hands today but could not pay that type of money - 32nd Kitty Hawk Mirage 2000C. If it was a D, maybe that would have been another matter...but my friend who went with splashed R7,500 on the HK Models Lancaster  . Needless to say, he the biggest Lanc fan I've met.
