Hi everybody,

My last Mirage out of my HPM/PJ Production assembly line, the Mirage 5F Rose III from High Planes Models.

Made Out of the box, I just added a little air intake and sensor right in front of the nose cone on the right side of the aircraft.

Not much to say about the build, went together well. A little challenge was about the camo scheme colours, based on what I saw online, it can differ quite a lot, so I just did a near new painted aircraft. There is one thing we can be sure about a car, a plane, etc…is that at least once, it was brand new and very clean.

Very nice Michel =D> Would that be an ex-Oz, Lebanon or Libyan Mirage V ?

You must build one in the latest two tone grey with IR probe :smt023

Thanks Malcolm

Hard to say as Pakistan bought plenty of new Mirage 5 to the French, then second hands of any Mirage III/5 available worldwide, but the Oz ones are III within the Pakistani Air Force, not 5.
The two tone grey, why not ...I just put it on the waiting list then...
All good in South Africa?
Regards,
Michel

Ja sorry. Had a senior moment. The Oz Mirages were IIIs, not 5s...

In SA all quiet as we try to avoid the "THING"....

Currently assembling 1 x Dagger, 1 x Mirage III (both Kinetic 48th) and the Wingman 48th Kfir TC.2

Nice build that Kangourou. =D>

I saw a photo a few years back of a Pakistan Mirage with ex- SAAF wings that were still in the SAAF camo!

That should be an interesting build?

We are pretty ok with the "thing" here, being an Island does make few things easier sometimes...
What do you think of the Kinetic Mirage?

Thanks Geoff

Yes, you are right, interesting camo ! RV Aircraft does propose this camo in their " exotic" boxing of the Mirage III model.

Subject of the nice XtraDecals 48th decal sheet. I like those Paki grey Mirages :D

Michel, the Kinetic 48th kits are OK. Need a bit of work...not shake and bake. But with some work they go together nicely. Way better than the old Esci/Italeri kits. However, they've missed a thing or two :
- On the E kit, no large subsonic tanks provided
- On the Dagger boxing no bombs or pylons as used by the Argies even though this is the subject of the kit :? Also no large subsonic tanks

Thanks Mate

I am aware that at least in the first boxes, they supplied the Mirage 2000 Subsonic tanks with the model :(

I'm liking the flag! Nice finish - the Pakistani Mirages are really interesting, they bought up pretty much every airframe they could find starting in the 90's, they've been quite resourceful in updating them
