I am new to the site, and I thought I would post a build I am currently busy with, and ask some advice from the modellers on the site,

Did the F1 AZ use a center line drop tank, and if so, what color would it be.....?

I hope you enjoy some of the pictures I have posted, this has been a build that has taken me close on 11 Months to get to where I am at the moment. It has been quite challenging and enjoyable at the same time. I have done a few scratch builds, namely a Pilatus PC 6, Pilatus PC 21 and a Piper Pawnee Brave. You are welcome to view some of my builds on my web site.

I have mounted a drop tank as you will see on the pictures, but the shape is wrong, so I will make another mold this week end to rectify.

Hope you enjoy the pictures and look forward to hearing from you all.

Cheers

Marc

Yes the AZ did occasionally carry a center line 1160 tank, as you have it. The paint scheme on the tanks was the standard camo pattern. They did not distinguish between outboard and center tanks.

Checkout page 56 on the link below, see 225.

Theuns built a AZ in the same configuration.

Great scratch build Marc :smt023 . Must've taken some serious amount of elbow grease :D . Also, great that you've done it in the late camo scheme.

Anyway, now that someone has scratch built one, hopefully Murphy's Law of modeling will see us get an IM model from one of the kit manufacturers.....

Here are a few build pictures, not all of them, as I am sure it would take up a lot of space, here are a few selections.
This has been a huge undertaking, but it has been fun, as I am sure, the rivet counters will have a field day finding faults, but, as I always say, 'Show me yours" :D :D :D . I have also added some pictures of other scratch builds I have done as well....... Thank you for the kind comments so far.

Astounding work Marc  =D> . I really like your PC-21 :smt023

The main landing gear legs are amazing. Must've been quite a job sorting the angles etc. out...

I have got all the molds, the only problem is that the kit will cost quite a bit.
