Just had a nice Gripen afterburner display over Centurion. Heading north for Louis Trichardt on FlightRadar now. SAAF parade ? Alouettes buzzing around earlier.

Per the SAAF

The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans (MOD & MV) will officiate as the main functionary, while the Chief of the Air force (CAF) will be the Review Officer. Bases, Units and Squadrons will be nominated in various categories such as Royal Air Force Training Award, Aviation Safety Award, Fire and Rescue Services and System Group Directorate of the Year to mention but few.


Should be 98th birthday?

Mistral, the SAAF Gala evening is tonight.

SAAF Museum helicopter participation and the Gripen.

The SAAF parade is tomorrow at 10:00.

Operational aircraft will take part in the flypast.

A whole FREAKEN airshow on its own, and what do we get in the Western Cape this year? Nannas. Why? Guptas at waterkloof 2013 - no! That's the reason the SAAF probably gets in the W-Cape - the real reason must surely be because the people of the W-Cape doesn't vote for the governing party, and therefor "Thou shalt not get".

I'm so sick and tired of this poly-ticking (spelled on purpose :wink: ) - same story with the water crisis in the Cape. I'm pretty sure we would've had better measures in place if this was a governing party controlled district.

Whilst we in the Cape get nothing at all, the SAAF sends a Grip and Agusta to your old stomping ground "for a private evening event". :shock: :? :mrgreen:

I've already received a complaint from a resident of Valhalla on Thursday, complaining about the noise.

Ah, they clearly don't know the sound of freedom. People like that should be given cameras and told to take pics for the rest of us !! :roll:
