I know the feeling GLF4 ... I did a profile of the "Gannet" for AAD2012, but she had a technical & didn't fly. Had to wait till now to finally see her :D

Thanks for sharing all the pictures guys and Ryno nice videos, thank you, looks like it was a great event for the Cape Town Aviation nuts, glad you guys got an airshow finally.

Would have been nice to see a 4 ship hawk team with the Gannet Hawk as at AAD2014 doing a display.that was really awesome.

Pity that public is mislead again with what is going to happen with flares not being shot, still don't see wind or the drought as an excuse, unless an incident did happen as mentioned and flares where cancelled.

Pity the atmospheric conditions and the aerodynamics of the Gripen did not really make a good sonic boom..again a bit misleading to the public.

Glad the show was up close for you guys, always makes it so much better for pictures!!

What happened to the last C-130 display of the afternoon. It appeared he took off, did a go around and promptly landed. Was there a technical problem?

LOL! It isn't, but the SAAF doesn't give us much choice with doing the run at 30,000 feet in 60 km/h wind...

Can I just make a comment about Aviation photographers here, and compliment Kremlin on some VERY fine photographs.

I looked at Renier Siebrits' ones on Avcom, and man, between the two of you, there is some special work! Not forgetting my long old pal Gerard Griesel, I have to say that between Kremlin , Airfire, Griesel and Siebrits, goodness! That other "I'm the man" photographer and be removed from the cockpits of certain aircraft in flight, and either one of you can replace him.
(tried to be very discreet here...)

So rynopot, you didn't like my Gripen photo and leave me out, thinking you can still remain a member of this forum?

You don't want to see something like this?

Can I just put it out there and say that whoever was there witnessed the best C47 (TP or otherwise) display ever seen? Apart from the obvious skill of Scott, that machine still has a few tricks.
