Is there someone (or people) locally that are type certified to conduct work on this aircraft? It's looking good though!

I am sure one of Mark Jackson's engineers has done the black hawk certification course, bringing the Black Hawk to South Africa was planned 5 years ago.

Also an interesting note is that they kept the original serial number on the nose of the aircraft being 80-23446 the number 446.

So installing a glass cockpit? Wonder if it will be a variant of the Acehawk cockpit upgrade?

What I heard it will be done here at Lanseria at a local avionics agent. Most likely two Garmin G500H flight displays and GTN 7XX NAV/COM/GPS.

The Acehawk also includes the Garmin G5000H Flight Management System, but then the G5000H is a pretty popular helicopter installation. 8)

The G5000H is very pricey and is in most cases factory fitted to most helicopters including the Acehawk.. so I doubt it...
