Rearranged my workspace, and built a spray booth using 16mm board. So much better. Still need to add fans and piping for ventilation. for me it's a huge step up from a cardboard box. 8)

Please excuse the mess. i still need to clean up.

Hey Drifter,

The paint stands are pretty cool :smt023

What are you going to use as a fan in the spray booth?

Is it the Testors 1/48 SR-71 Blackbird?

Stratobat

Hi Strat, probably 1 or 2 pc fans. The Testors is a 1/32 YF-22. Was lucky with the paint stands, got them as part of the lot on auction. I got the paints at about 5c a tin. I also scored about 230 Tamiya cans at 75c each.

Hey Drifter,

Be sure to post some pictures of your spray booth when finished. I was thinking about using a bathroom extractor fan when I get around to making one for myself.

The YF-22 should look pretty impressive when built up.
A review on Modeling Madness notes that it is a "notorious putty monster" but that's what makes building models such a rewarding hobby 8)

As for the paint stands and paint - Not bad at all! :smt023

Regards,
Stratobat

Yes, I heard the YF-22 is a monster to build. Guess that's why it only cost R149.00

Hey Drifter,

I reckon you should put it to the top of the pile and build it next

What's the current work in progress in the pictures above?

Regards,
Stratobat

Good afternoon fellow modellers. New to the forum and my first commend.
I also built my own spray booth.
I got 2 second hand microwave fans at the local appliance repair shop for free. Just ask, they throw the fans away in any case.
you turn the fan so that it draws air out of the booth. Really does the job.

Regards.

Johan
