Dear Subscribers,
We are now in post-production on "My Father's War".
For the opening main title sequence we are creating a montage of footage and photos that tell the story of the war in battle, behind the lines and on the home front.
We are eagerly and very urgently trying to access some of the personal photos taken by soldiers and their loved ones that reveal what combatants and their families went through, emotionally:
- The good-byes when troopies left home for their call-ups.
- The basic training experiences - the bad times and the good.
- The camaraderie and friendships between soldiers.
- The difficulty of leaving loved ones behind.
- Photos of the wives and children at home on their own (e.g. Birthday parties without a father, mothers with babies and small children, pets,
etc.)
- Reunions of families with men in uniform.
The opening titles are meant to be emotionally evocative for the audience and give them insight.
If you or someone you know was a soldier in the war, we would be extremely appreciative and honored if you/they would share some of the prized photographs that let people know what it actually meant to sacrifice part of your life to the war.
This is a matter of great urgency as we need all the original photos before the end of February, 2016.
Leave a message or contact us at Lion Mountain TV or Aquavision TV Productions if you would like to be part of this very special project.
