After all this Kfir in SA talk, I just had to do this profile :D

Mirage III D2Z #845, which was on strength of the TFDC at Bredasdorp, was the first of the Mirage III's modified to Cheetah standard. She was delivered to Israeli Aircraft Industries, (IAI) in Israel for the conversion to Cheetah D standard. Her first prototype flight, carrying the bogus serial number 175, was in Israel during May 1985. After the conversion was completed by IAI, she again returned to Atlas on the 13th April 1986, for re-assembly. The newly completed Cheetah D then being unveiled & rolled-out to the media on the 16th July 1986. She was thereafter delivered to the SAAF on the 28th July 1986. The aircraft was fitted with Martin Baker Mk.4 ejection seats, during the flights in Israel.

Brent - your works are superb as always, but note that the Star od David usually painted at the IAI are without the white circle background, but only blue Star of David on bare metal.

Great. Also note that the serial 175 is a bit too large and it's written (at least the last 2 digits) on the front nose gear door,as well.
