Yep.

We need to be careful of ascribing too much of the recent success to the 100 or so South Africans, especially as we have so little real information on what exactly they're doing there. Actual front-line reports suggest that they're training the 72nd Strike/Mobile Force and assisting them with planning and certain technical skills they lack.

By far the biggest impact has been the introduction of the Chadian and Nigerien militaries. Time will tell whether the Nigerian Army has been equipped and prepared enough to maintain the situation after these initial gains.

rtd, ive suffered from the same. too dont understnd fully, but i think i know. forums are hard, especially if you thnk someone is one the same wave lenght. anyway, have read the articles in its entirety, also follow nara land with fun these ays, but i have something to share here:

I missed this, been and interesting read for me, thanks for posting Jean.

As for the Guardian taking a shot at the 59 year old that got killed by friendly fire, asking how can he fight.
They seem to miss that he was there to train Nigerians, transferring his skills and not there to fight
